A little bit about me...

I'm a journalist, but I'm also studying to be a lawyer... I picked the two most co professions by the public, but I couldn't be happier!

I took this career path because have a passion for people. In both the legal and journalism fields, we communicate and represent others by telling their stories. We give a voice to the underdog and investigate wrongdoing and corruption.

Being a journalist has always been my dream job, but I also think it's so important to be educated about politics, government, and the law. I decided to go to law school so that I would be better prepared to tell the public about important issues and events.

In December 2019, I will graduate with my Bachelors in Journalism, with an emphasis in Radio/TV Anchoring and Reporting. Meanwhile, I'll be halfway through law school! I'll graduate from law school in May 2021.

Experience

I have worked in both the journalism and legal fields. I was a field reporter for KOMU 8 for several years, and I have interned at a prosecuting attorney's office and in the Missouri Court of Appeals, Southern District.
Skills

I am familiar with Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro X, and Avid Newscutter for video editing. I'm also familiar with iNews for writing news stories. Lastly, I coded this website myself using HTML!
Education

In December 2019, I will graduate from the Missouri School of Journalism with a Bachelor's in Journalism, with an emphasis in Radio/TV Anchoring and Reporting. I'm also currently enrolled in law school at Mizzou, and I will graduate with my J.D. in May 2021.
Involvement

At Mizzou Law, I have taken on multiple leadership positions. I am the secretary of the Student Bar Association and the president of the school's Phi Alpha Delta (PAD) chapter. While I have been president, PAD membership increased 200%!
